  • The sonnenBatterie Evo is our first outdoor home battery solution developed specifically for Australia and New Zealand. It is a fully integrated AC coupled solar power battery storage that has an IP56 outdoor rating. Our solar battery can be installed both outdoors or indoors and complies with the AS/NZS 5139 standard.

  • The sonnenBatterie contains a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery cell that was customised by sonnen. Known as the sonnenModule 4, it has 10kWh of usable solar energy storage capacity and it is made up of two fully usable 5.0kWh battery modules.

  • The sonnenBatterie Evo is a globally designed product and because it is the first generation of this type of solar battery, it’s produced from sonnen's new operations centre at our headquarters in Wildpoldsried, Germany. The first generation of our new products will always be made in Germany. However, Elizabeth continues to be a manufacturing facility for sonnen to serve the Australian and Asia Pacific markets.

  • Backup solar power has been included with 5kW continuous and 7kW surge capacity. This provides power to run more circuits in a backup mode to cover more lighting and appliances in a home in the event of a blackout. The sonnenBatterie Evo comes with a Black Start function that ‘wakes’ up an AC coupled PV system even when the grid is down.

  • Sonnen offers a 10-year full warranty on all solar battery storage components. This means that your investment is protected for 10 years or 10,000 cycles, whichever comes first. During the warranty period, all components of your sonnenBatterie are covered: the inverter, all power electronics, the energy manager and battery modules.
